Making your own non-toxic and natural beauty products at home is easier than you might think. We tend to think it’s some complicated chemical formula that can only be done in a lab, but that’s what the big companies want us to think – how else would they make the big bucks? Those products are also laden with highly toxic chemicals that can be totally avoided when making your own recipes at home.

Hello,
Thanks for all the great info! I love to use Bronner’s baby castile soap for so many things.
You can also make a liquid soap from Kiss My Face olive oil bar soap. I like to use the following recipe for a shampoo and body soap because it’s less alkaline than Bronner’s. (I like what I read about this particular soap on the EWG.org consumer’s guide.)
Bring to a boil about 3 cups of water. Add a finely grated 8oz. bar of KMF pure and unscented olive oil soap and let sit overnite for the soap to dissolve. Prices vary wildly on this product; Kroger’s sells this for $3 in my area.

What a great tip, Judy! Thanks for sharing your recipe. So, you don’t have to melt the soap over heat? It just dissolves overnight? That is so cool!
