What Do Pigs Drop

How to Breed Pigs in Minecraft
Now that you know the diet of Minecraft pigs, it's time to use it for breeding. Follow these steps to learn how:
1. First, hold a carrot, potato, or beetroot in your hand. If there is a pig nearby, it will start following you around.
2. Use the food to lead your pigs to an ideal location. Then, use fences to create a boundary around two pigs to prevent them from running.
3. Finally, use food on each of the pigs. They will enter love mode and a baby pig will spawn. During this process, you can use either carrot, potato, or beetroot. Plus, both pigs don't need to eat the same food for breeding.
Once bred, the pigs have a cooldown of 5 minutes before you can breed them again. Meanwhile, the baby pigs take around 20 minutes to grow up. They stay near their parents while growing up and you can feed them to speed up the growth.
How to Ride a Pig in Minecraft
Pigs are one of the few rideable mobs in Minecraft. But, unlike camels, you cannot control them just by saddling up. Instead, you need to give pigs a reason to listen to your commands. Here's how:
1. First, make a fishing rod in Minecraft using three sticks and a string.
2. Then, combine the fishing rod with a carrot to craft a Carrot on a Stick.
3. Next, get a saddle in Minecraft by fishing, trading, or exploring structures. It doesn't have any crafting recipe.
4. Then, right-click on the pig while holding a saddle to place it. You can right-click on it again to start riding the pig.
5. Finally, hold the Carrot on a Stick in your hand to control the pig's movement.
Not to forget, you can use the stick while riding to make the pig run faster. This mechanic allows you to boost their speed by 2.15 times. But, it eventually declines and turns normal within a few seconds.
Pig in a Minecart
Similar to most smaller mobs in the game, pigs can also fit inside minecarts. This is also true for the saddles pigs. So, you can use this mechanic to ride a pig that's riding a minecart. Doing so gives you a major speed boost. The only drawback is that you have to lay down the entire rail track first.
Can Other Mobs Ride Pigs
In vanilla gameplay, only the players can ride other mobs including pigs. But, you can use the ride command in Minecraft, to make any mob ride another mob in the game.

Bonus: Turn Pigs into Zombified Piglins
Now that you know everything about Minecraft pigs, it's time to push them to their limits. To do so, you will need bad weather and powers of thor. Thanks to an odd mechanic, whenever lightning strikes a pig, it turns into a zombified Piglin. Meanwhile, piglets or baby pigs become baby Zombified Piglins.
Generally, these zombified Piglins only spawn in the Nether dimension and are not hostile until attacked. When you kill this undead mob, it has a chance to drop a gold ingot alongside rotten flesh and gold nuggets.
So, if you breed enough pigs, they can eventually turn into a reliable source of gold for you. The only condition is that you will need an enchanted trident in Minecraft to control lightning.
